ProtectGuard Color Two-component is a two component preservative. It gives long lasting protection and colour to porous building materials: concrete, lime rendering, terracotta and natural and artificial stone.

Water/oil repellent and permanent anti-graffiti solution

  • ProtectGuard Color Two-component has all the qualities of ProtectGuard in terms of porous surfaces protection. The life-span of treated surfaces will also be lengthened.
  • The treated surfaces will resist water penetration, grease-type stains and graffiti. Its anti-graffiti function is ideally suited for vertical surfaces (façades, walls, uprights).

Pigmented preservative

  • ProtectGuard Color Two-component is not a paint. It’s a preservative that’s adapted for use with concrete (including high pH fresh concrete). Its semi-transparency will retain the texture and look of the mineral material it protects. The final colour depends on both the colour of the stain and that of the treated surface.
  • ProtectGuard Color Two-component may be used to either colour or to create a more uniform appearance for architectural elements.
  • ProtectGuard Color Two-component is not film-forming, the treated surface remains permeable to air and water vapour.
  • ProtectGuard Color Two-component protects against soiling, all types of stains and the other main causes of deterioration to building material – atmospheric pollution, grease-type staining, penetration of liquids and graffiti. It also colours and gives a more uniform appearance to mineral surfaces like concrete, lime rendering, terracotta and natural and artificial stone. It may be used on any vertical surface, inside or outside.

ProtectGuard Color system: bespoke colouring

  • The ProtectGuard Color colour chart includes 42 standard colours and 8 ‘special' colours. A standard colour has an opacity index of 100. Guard Industry can alter those colours and offer a higher or lower level of opacity, while yet keeping the same protection properties. The final colour of a treated substrate will always be the combination of the treatment colour and the colour of the substrate. A colour with a low opacity index will offer less obliteration. In that case, the surface's initial colour will have a greater impact on the final colour. Depending on the client's or the project's specific needs, Guard Industry can make available colours from the 1950 NCS colour chart.
