UK's No:1 Plastering Training Centre of Excellence.
About Us / Faq's About Us The Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre has been teaching plastering to individuals, trades people etc since 2004. Our plastering trainers are highly skilled plasterers & trainers, with Paul & Colin having clocked up almost 65 years 'on the tools' between them. Faq's Do I need to have any experience of plastering? No previous experience is necessary. All of our plastering courses are designed to provide a good understanding in all areas of plastering whether you are a total beginner or someone who has some DIY knowledge. What do I need to bring with me? Nothing. All appropriate tools & materials will be provided for use on your plastering course. Once I have finished the course, will I be able to plaster successfully? The Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre provides intensive plastering courses to teach the basics of how to plaster. Most students, having attended a plastering course, will have sufficient knowledge to enable them to achieve a professional finish. This does not mean that a student will become a fully proficient tradesman overnight, but with practice their speed will increase and they will have sufficient knowledge to be able to complete a variety of plastering projects. What happens if I have problems when I start plastering at home or on a paid job? Students that immediately put into practice what they have learned are inclined to be more successful, however, we at The Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre we recognize this may not always be possible for everyone so we also offer expert advice at the end of the course either by telephone or by e-mail. Students attending our plastering courses will also receive a set of very handy course notes. How many students are on each plastering course? At the Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre, we believe our students learn better when in small groups. By keeping the plastering course numbers to a maximum of 5 students, we are able to provide more individual attention throughout the course. How do I book a course? Booking is simple. You can either check the 'availability' page for course dates (this is updated daily), then complete the online booking form if you wish to pay by credit card using our secure online payment page, or you can print off the booking form if you wish to pay by cheque ( made payable to '' Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre ''), and post to Hawk & Trowel Plastering Centre, 3 Overhill Gardens, Brighton, BN1 8ND. Alternatively, you may book by calling 01273 557 932 | 07909 528 342. What should I wear? We recommend that you wear old clothes or overalls & sturdy footwear, you will get messy. Any protective clothing that is required is provided. Are the plastering courses suitable for women? Yes, absolutely. In fact some of our best students have been ladies. Where can I buy tools? You can buy all plastering tools from us. We only use professional quality trowels manufactured by Marshalltown on our plastering courses and you can buy the same tools, from stock, at below the manufacturers RRP whilst you are on your course. Am I expected to take my work apart at the end of the course? Absolutely not. All your time with us is spent plastering!
